I purchased a 2005 Chevy Venture Van on September 5, 2011. Before a week was up, I noticed the power steering getting hard to turn and whining. I added power steering fluid and assumed they forgot to top it off. A couple of days later, I noticed a leak but didn’t know where it was coming from. After about another week, I put in MORE power steering fluid because a) I figured out that was what was leaking and b)it was hard to turn and whining again. Then, the transmission started slamming into gear (beyond slipping). I took it back to the dealership because according to the “great” warranty they sold me, it should be covered. The rack wasn’t covered and the transmission fluid was really dirty….really? in less than 3000 miles (before it needed an oil change?) I complained to Blake Mitchell (the owners son) and he indicated to me that they should have noticed a leak that size coming from the rack but there was no notation and that if the transmission fluid was dirty, they should have changed it. Because I was so upset, he was able to do it “all” for the discounted rate of 400, instead of the nearly 700 I was originally quoted. I got the van back and the transmission fluid is still dirty! and the rack is binding horribly. I honestly don’t believe they even changed the rack (no paperwork for warranty on rack…just their receipt) and because the transmission fluid is still dirty and it’s still slamming into gear. I had my neighbor (who has been a mechanic) take it up there for me today (this morning) and I have not heard anything back from them. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY OR HAVE YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED HERE! Additionally, that great warranty is worth less than the paper it is written on so don’t waste your money! Drive right by this lot and do not stop! I will do my due diligence to make sure that no one else is taken. Look them up on the BBB website (as I should have done)…they have numerous complaints and none that were resolved to the customers satisfaction (one more including mine!)

I had a horrible servicing with this company as well. My power steering pump went out in my 2003 PT Cruiser and they were closest to me so i decided to take it to them. They “fixed” it in 2 days, picked it up and the power steering was worse than when i dropped it off. Left it there for a few more days, and they “fixed” it again. I didn’t even make it a mile down the road and the power steering went out again. Took it back and had to raise hell with them, cussed everybody out in the shop and told them to get it right this time or i was threatening legal action. It was fine for a couple months, then it went out again. Took it to a different Chrysler dealership and they said the hoses were leaking. Kernersville Dodge said they replaced the entire steering system, but they didnt replace the hoses. Does this make any sense why they are still in business? You 2 are right, they are cheating people, and cheating people terribly. I’m a grown man, but i feel bad for the ignorant younger people, and the elderly going there and putting their trust in a business that is obviously dishonest, shady, deceitful and an all around low down dirty shame.

I was looking at purchasing a used Dodge Diesel truck. I will say that this dealerships selection is better than most. However, this is a “Dodge” dealership. They will not certify or warranty or guarantee ANYTHING once it leaves the lot, unless you shell out more cash. I would think that if you are selling your “Brand’s” used vehicles that at the minimum, those vehicles would be certified. With that said, I drove two hours because I saw a few trucks online that I wanted to take a closer look at. When I arrived, nobody said anything to me (This isn’t always bad!). I went back and started looking. After I was coming back from the lot, I was finally asked if there was anything the sales lady could do. I also think it was by chance she ran into me, not that she saw me and was coming to help. I told her what I saw online and what I was looking for. The vehicle in question was there, but it took 20-30 minutes and a lot of walking to find the key. When the truck keys were found and the truck unlocked, it was explained to me that there was a problem with the left-rear brake caliper and it was being replaced. Fine, that wasn’t a problem. I opened the truck and the smell wasn’t horrible, but like it was very stale and a hint of mildew. I began looking through the vehicle. I noticed corrosion and rust on the seat mounting brackets and seatbelt brackets. The truck was only 6 years old, I would have expected a bit better. The entire time I felt like I was being rushed. For one, I couldn’t test drive the vehicle!!! I made an offer that I believe was fair for the year model and the KNOWN condition. I was countered and understanding that they have to make money, I thought it was somewhat reasonable. It was 1,000 less than original price. There were a few things that I had to verify about the requirements THAT truck would have to meet. I must also say that the sales manager mentioned these trucks were bought at auction, repaired and sold. So I then inquired about another vehicle. I test drove it, not bad. It met all of my requirements other than year model and mileage. I went to work with my bank for financing. I have been with this bank for 10 years and they have ALWAYS done right by me. The bank said the vehicle was worth less than the asking price. I showed the sales manager the bottom line, which was about 700$ less than the “out the door” price. They wouldn’t budge. He offered to finance me at twice the interest rate my bank offered. Really? You want me to double my interest rate because you won’t come down to the vehicle’s actual worth? This entire fiasco took right around 4 hours! I left the dealership still calling my bank and the dealer to try and make the deal! I was about 15 min down the road and was on the phone with salesman, who asked if I would be interested in a Ford. I turned back around only to find that it didn’t fit the requirements and was shown another truck that wouldn’t start. This was yesterday. Today, I have told all of my co workers about this place and will review this experience on every review site I can find. Also check the Better Business Bureau; they are not accredited with them either! Buyer Beware! Be ready to be there awhile and you had better know what you are looking at. Without any guarantees, I have a feeling that after signing the dotted line I would have been on my own. I am glad I slept on it and made the right choice not to buy.
As I wrote this, the stealership called, I can only assume it was the customer service department. She asked if I had a pleasant experience. I asked her if I had bought a truck, she said “no”. I then told her she had her answer. She asked for specifics. I explained the situation. I want to thank her as well for reminding me that the sales managers name was Mike. She said she would report what I said. I have a feeling that if anyone there, least of all the OWNER, cared about their business, they would have called me back pretty quick to attempt to get my business. I will NEVER go to this dump again. As I said above, This is on my facebook, any review site I can post to and all of my co workers.

They have low prices but be careful they use the same scams that have been used for years once you get in the finance department. After failing to sell me the useless warranties the finance guy tried tacking a extra $40.00 a month onto my monthly payment. When I asked him what that was for he said that is my normal payment without any warranties. What he didn’t know is that I use to work at a dealership so I knew to call my bank ahead of time and figure out what my monthly payment would be (this is also why they rather you finance through them instead of your own bank). After pulling out my phone and telling him I was going to call my bank he quickly took the papers he was trying to get me to sign and stuck them in his pocket (hiding the evidence). He then said the bank made a mistake and he would have to reprint my paperwork lol. If you figure it over a course of five years he was about to pocket an additional $2400. I wonder how many people he has pulled this on.

To begin we bought a new 2014 Jeep Cherokee and six days later after we hand washed it we noticed that the paint job was a mess! White spots everywhere! Kernersville Dodge and The Jeep maker do not want to do the right thing for us and give us a new one! Instead they want to paint it! Well I called the Attorney General Of North Carolina and they are getting involved, because when you buy a NEW car you should not have to start making repairs, it takes away value on the car! What should have been done was a trade out for a new one. So to anyone that sees this, Please consider the dealer and maker before you buy?! Kernersville dodge is not a very nice place and the only thing they care about is the sell! I promise you read reviews and you will find this is very true. I do not know how this will end for us but if this review helps just one person, I thank GOD! Buyer Beware of Kernersville Dodge!!!!!!!
